I would just like to say that I love Queer as Folk Series (U.S.). I have watched queer as folk complete series from the beginning and have enjoyed every minute.
You do not have to be a gay characters on this show. Ted, Emmett, Mike, Justin and Brian (Brian but never admit) are all looking the same as everyone else in life, and that is to find someone to love and the rest of his life.
The arguments are wonderful and the writing is fantastic. These are characters that you can be in love with her, and even on some level. Brian, for example, acts like an idiot and like to hate him, but at the same time that the love, because he knows that it is just an act and fund everything you really want is love. If the British version is better, because people always say that it should not surprise us, since this Queer as Folk is quite good on its own. Some of the dialogue sounds a bit forced, and, of course, the show is too soap opera-ish. But I think all the players (apart from the nice ...!) good work, especially that most of them are straight in real life. And if you like MTV, the address is not a problem.
